Our area of expertise covers both military equipment and civilian products. As a German company that operates both as a production site in Germany and the Netherlands and as an exporter in these areas, we have a special responsibility. This responsibility extends from respecting our own history to actively shaping the current geopolitical situation. The sale of products in these areas is subject to strict regulations and we take great care to comply with all legal requirements.
Over the course of our long company history, we have built up an excellent reputation. This is based on the outstanding performance of our dedicated workforce and the principles practiced at Urban Industries GmbH. The company’s management, executives and employees are jointly committed to complying with national and international legal frameworks and upholding the principles of fair competition. We rely on an established system of guidelines, obligations and procedures that has also proven its effectiveness in cooperation with business partners at home and abroad.
Preventing corruption is a central component of this system. No employee acts in isolation, as the principle of mutual control is always applied. We regularly train our employees on all aspects of corruption prevention and strengthen their skills in dealing with potential risks. Whistleblowers can rely on protection from the company management. The management of Urban Industries GmbH is the direct point of contact for every employee for questions relating to compliance risks, particularly in the context of combating corruption.
Our commitment extends to strict compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in foreign trade, both in the area of military equipment and in the civilian sector. This also includes the constant promotion of strict export compliance. Employees may not export or re-export goods, technology or software unless valid authorization has been obtained. Nothing is done that violates applicable regulations of any kind.
This commitment is of the utmost importance to us, and the company management calls on everyone to actively support it. If you have any questions about the permissibility of a transaction or in connection with export regulations, the company management is available at any time.
